I like these players because they are not going to go down in value over the long term. If Lebron tears his ACL and plays horrible, he is still KING JAMES!
He is already in the GOAT debate and has already cemented his legacy as the greatest of all time.
If you believe in somebody like Justin Herbert that is your belief, and if you spend a lot money in him and he doesn't play well, you may lose money. That is okay...we all make mistakes and that is part of the hobby and you will learn from your mistakes. Of coruse, you also get more upside. It is a question of risk.
But if you spend $1000 on a Jalen Green rookie then a month later it's worth a $100, that card can still be special but you have to know why you are buying it...just some advice from West The Card Kid
